Halsetown.

A timber frame construction, faced in stone on the roadside and cedar cladding on the other side, which was required by the planning consent. The cedar has now silvered back, making the property blend in beautifully with its neighbours.

I was originally on this project to do the ground-works only. However, the timber frame company were so impressed with our precision that they recommended us to the client to complete the job. As a result, we were asked to see the build through from start to finish.

It’s a beautiful build and one the team are very proud of. I’ve been back to the property on a few occasions since, adding a mini replica of a tin mine to the garden, converting the garage into a ‘man cave’ and installing a Velux window.

Melvin & Amanda have been amazing throughout all the works. On a side note, I’ve never met anyone as good as Amanda at ‘Popmaster’ - big respect!

Testimonial

Melvin & Amanda

“We bought a lovely house near St Ives that had been built by Trystan Boyns. As with any new build, we expected there to be a few snagging issues. We were impressed that in the end, there was actually only one which turned out to be a faulty window, such had been the original care, quality and attention to detail. Trystan worked with us to resolve this issue and we were pleased to have Trystan back afterwards to work on some other small projects.

Trystan is most reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. He really cares about his work, and I have no hesitation in recommending him for any building projects large or small.”
